The truth is that I don’t have a “favorite
concert”, but I liked the concert of André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra
on past August 28th in the Movistar Arena. André Rieu is a Dutch violinist and orchestra
director of 67 years old that plays waltzes, opera arias, ballads, etc. with
his Stradivarius violin of 1667. He is also considering as the “King of Waltz”.
The concert started at 8:00 p.m. and finished at 11:00 p.m., with a
brake of 30 minutes approximately.

The audience, me included, enjoyed all the
songs he plays, from “La Habanera” to “Brindisi”. Rieu also played the “Blue
Danube Waltz”, moment in which people started to dance in
waltz couples. However, when the Orchestra played “Somewhere over the Rainbow”
many people were sad. All the audience always felt different emotions with every new song.

But I must recognise that one of the songs
that I enjoyed the most was “Radetzky”, because with this song the director, the
orchestra and the audience interact clapping according to the music rhythm. And
it is a tradition when the concert finishes!
That was a real conscience! I've never been to a concert of that type but I wait for that moment :)
