My pet

I have just one pet, and it is Princesa, a fox terrier toy. She is also the pet of my sister and lives with my family in Frutillar. Princesa is the daughter of a couple of fox terrier toys of our aunt Magaly, who gave us it as a gift in 2011. Princesa is six years old and has white hair with black patches. She is very playful and loves run around us when we play with her.

When Princesa was one year old I tried to teach her some tricks but it was useless because she was very disordered. The reason was that my sister and I played to the circus and Princesa was part of the show, but finally her act was a failure. She prefers to sleep next to the fireplace and eat a lot.

However, Princesa is not the only one pet that my sister and I had had. Before Princesa we had to Diana, an American cocker. She was a gift of our uncle Álvaro in 2009. Diana was like Princesa, but she died in 2010, with just one year old because she had an accident. In that moment we were very sad, but then came Princesa and now Diana lives with her.

(I don't have pictures of Princesa and Diana, but they are very similar to the dogs in this pictures).

My best concert

The truth is that I don’t have a “favorite concert”, but I liked the concert of André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra on past August 28th in the Movistar Arena. André Rieu is a Dutch violinist and orchestra director of 67 years old that plays waltzes, opera arias, ballads, etc. with his Stradivarius violin of 1667. He is also considering as the “King of Waltz”. The concert started at 8:00 p.m. and finished at 11:00 p.m., with a brake of 30 minutes approximately.

The audience, me included, enjoyed all the songs he plays, from “La Habanera” to “Brindisi”. Rieu also played the “Blue Danube Waltz”, moment in which people started to dance in waltz couples. However, when the Orchestra played “Somewhere over the Rainbow” many people were sad. All the audience always felt different emotions with every new song.

But I must recognise that one of the songs that I enjoyed the most was “Radetzky”, because with this song the director, the orchestra and the audience interact clapping according to the music rhythm. And it is a tradition when the concert finishes!
